It can be hard to remember a time when grey wasn’t a core décor colour. Prior to being a core staple colour in our homes it was a must-have trend colour, but it had the staying power to stick around for a decade as a popular colour thanks to a number of supporting factors.

Every few years, there is a colour that becomes the baseline to all aesthetics, before grey dominated, it was white, driven by Apple’s reclaiming of a clean, bright white. What had previously been the domain of cheap home appliances suddenly was highly desirable.
